Shoring Systems (krings)
Quick and easy to use: krings trench boxes.
Our edge-supported shoring systems from krings are particularly versatile. They take up little space during storage and transport and can be very quickly and simply assembled at the construction site.
The little KVL steel box is ideal for inner-city areas, the sturdy KS 60 is recommended for inner-city sewer construction projects, and the KS 100 is designed for use at greater depths. By means of an adapter, the struts developed for the KS 60 and KS 100 boxes can also be used on the KVL. The shoring struts are compatible with the box and sprung-socket slide-rail systems.

krings KVL
The small steel box designed specifically for inner city shoring jobs is ideal for the laying and modernisation of gas and water pipes as well as telephone lines, power cables, and for the creation of service lines. Thanks to their low weight, the boxes are suitable for handling with small-scale excavators.
Sturdy struts, which can be adjusted to the desired trench width and quickly replaced (secured with pins and retaining clips), and sling lugs on the four corner posts simplify the handling of this type of shoring. Desite their low weight, the assembled boxes are robust and suitable for installation by placement in the ready-dug trench.
With the aid of an adapter, the 98 x 550 and 98 x 700 spindles can also be used on the KS 60 and KS 100 boxes.

krings KS 60
The stable KS 60 trench box is configured for high loads, low weight and high safety – features that make this lightweight box the ideal shoring for open terrain and medium-sized inner-city sewer construction projects. In certain cases and subject to consultation with the manufacturer’s technical department, higher loads are possible at certain shoring depths.
The struts are compatible with those of the KS 100 boxes. The loads are taken up by the articulated sprung sockets between the struts and the shoring panel. Small excavators can therefore be used for quick and easy box installation and removal using the placement and dig-and-push methods.

krings KS 100
The KS 100 is the world’s most frequently used trench box and is compatible with a wide range of shoring tasks. Its straightforward use in countless variations in terms of trench width, depth of use, lengths available on site and practical vertical pipe clearances make all settings possible within the maximum sizes. The shoring struts of the KS 100 are compatible with those of KS 60 boxes.
Operations with the edge-supported compact element are simple, inexpensive and safe. There is no negative environment impact caused by driving or vibration. The boxes, often used in urban locations, can be installed by placement in the excavated trench or via the dig-and-push method.

krings KS 100 Eck
The KS 100 Eck was designed for the easy and cost-effective shoring of circular and masonry manholes. Based on the KS 100 standard box, it has extra panels at the corners as a safeguard against soil pressure, e.g. when constructing manholes.
The sizes have been selected to ensure that conventionally available circular manholes can be handled up to a diameter of 3 m. The maximum pipe culvert height for the installation of supply and discharge lines also matches the usual dimensions.
Basic data
- Shoring length: 2.50 m – 4.00 m
- Height base unit: 2.40 m / 2.60 m
- Height base unit: 1.40 m
- Pipe culvert height: max. 1.56 m
- Shoring depth: max. 4.00 m

krings piling frame element BLU
Just like the large DKU piling frame element, the smaller BLU variant is a low-deformation, universal and cost-effective trench shoring method particularly suitable for inner-city applications with pipes and cables crossing the trench. The piling frame element that serves as the upper guide for the piles introduced vertically into the ground is ideal for the laying of gas and water pipes and other service lines. In the dig-and-push process, the digger pushes the piles into the ground immediately after excavation, causing little vibration.
The assembly and prior adjustment of the piling frame element are similar to that of edge-supported shoring systems. The support brackets can be used in two different ways. For use in the trench, the support brackets are attached to the top of the element. If used outside the trench, the brackets are attached to the bottom of the element. krings spindle systems are used as supporting elements.
Basic data
- Shoring length: 2.51 m
- Height sheet pile element: 0.72 m
- Pipe culvert length: max. 2.17 m
- Shoring depth: max. 2.4 m

The DKU element can be put to varied uses when combined with supplementary components. The slide-rail adapter permits its use in e+s single slide-rail linear shoring, krings single slide-rail parallel shoring and in single corner slide-rails. In addition, the corner shoring adapter can be used for creating a closed (4-sided) shaft. A further application is the installation of the elements in series.

krings Flex shoring
krings Flex shoring is an environmentally friendly alternative to aluminum lightweight shoring and is ideal for the laying of gas and water supply lines and other services down to depths of about 1.5 m and for pipe clearances of up to 0.6 m.
Together with basic and supplementary elements, the shoring can be adapted to various pipe culvert heights. The components are easy to mount on top of each other and can be connected with a coupler. The steel corner posts belonging to the system are simply bolted onto the ends of the timber boards and, with the aid of a cross member, will take the standard KVL spindles. The timber boards are provided by the customer in various lengths and thicknesses.

thyssenkrupp aluminum lightweight shoring
Our thyssenkrupp aluminum lightweight shoring is the ideal solution for construction sites in cities and urban centers. The modular system is made of aluminum and closes the gap between steel systems, which are often too heavy and unwieldy, and timber planks.
The range is divided into several groups in order to cater for varying specific requirements. The modular system can be combined and supplemented as required.
The lightweight sections (max. 42 kilograms) can be brought to the site with a light commercial vehicle or car trailer. The aluminum boards can then be quickly connected by hand on site using aluminum couplings and struts to form a shoring unit of the desired depth. All conventional trench widths, depths and degrees of difficulty (transverse electrical lines, tight working areas) can be handled using the standardized thyssenkrupp aluminum lightweight shoring, even without heavy equipment.
Basic data
- Installation depth: max. 6 m
- Trench width: max. 2.26 m
- Weight: 43 kg (per component)
