Hot-rolled Sheet Pile Sections
Hot-rolled steel sheet piles are mainly used for construction engineering projects, because of the high rigidity, very good driving characteristics including a high section modulus. Hot-rolled piling sections are rolled at a temperature of more than 1,200° Celsius. Consequently the steel has a high plasticity and enables multiple profile shapes.

Applications in construction
- Marine engineering
- Structures for waterways and watercourses
- Embankment protection
- Transport infrastructure construction
- Trench shoring
- Excavations

Z-sections
The continuous web in the sheet piling and the external interlocks are the key features of Z-sections. Both factors have a positive effect on the section modulus in the sheet pile – at relatively low weight. That results in high cost efficiency.
As a high-quality steel product steel sheet piling can handle a wide range of functions and applications. Among other things, it is used in hydraulic engineering, traffic route and port construction, or for retaining walls and noise barriers.
In addition to steel sheet piling, the portfolio of thyssenkrupp Infrastructure also encompasses machinery for the installation of sheet piling as well as services such as processing, cutting, etc., plus a full range of anchor technology.

Steel sheet piles and straight web sections
Steel piles are used in foundation works, water engineering and bridge building. As independent structural members they are often used in foundations, both as vertical or slightly inclined compression and tension piles and as pile support structures or as diagonally driven anchor piles.
Flat Sheet
Straight web sheet piles are designed for the construction of cellular coffer dams, which can be used when considerable depths of water, or subsequently placed fill are to be retained.
