BSP Hydraulic Impact Hammers

BSP hydraulic piling hammers provide an economical solution for the installation of all types of steel or concrete piles in either land or marine environments.

Energy outputs range from 20kNm to 520kNm and the versatile design allows operation by crane suspension, from piling rigs or leaders. Alternatively, operation can be via an existing power source, or by separate power pack.

SL Range

The SL20da and SL30da hammers are designed to drive sheet piles and small bearing piles of concrete steel or timber. The hammers are sized for driving single piles and can pass between upstanding piles.

Ram weights from 1.5t to 2.5t.

The low hook weight and relatively small hydraulic power required to operate, make these hammers an economical option for the construction of pile walls, coffer dams and temporary earthworks. The SL range is available with legs and inserts for use freely suspended or with backguides for operating from a piling mast.

DX-RT Piling Hammers

The DX-RT range of piling hammers are designed for driving small bearing piles of steel.

Ideal for Railway Construction projects.

Ram weights from 1.5t to 2.5t.

CX Range

The CX range of piling hammers is designed to operate from piling rig leaders or crane suspended and are suitable to drive sheet piles in pairs or singles, tubular bearing piles, H piles, combi piles, reinforced concrete RC piles, cast in situ CIS piles and timber piles.

Ram weights from 4t to 9t.

Guides to suit any leader section are available allowing speedy installation on the mast. A detachable trip is available to allow the hammer to follow the pile without the continual paying out of the hammer rope.

CX Range

The CG range is designed to operate from piling rig leaders or crane suspended and are suitable to drive a variety of bearing piles including steel tube, combination piles, H sections and reinforced/pre stressed concrete RC piles.

Ram weights from 12t to 20t, or up to 45t on special projects.

CX Range

The DX Range of Hydraulic Piling hammers are designed for small bearing piles of steel, timber, concrete and many sheet pile.

The DX hammer is available with back guides for operating from a piling mast or a slider for operating from an excavator.

BSP Compactor

Instead of DC (dynamic compaction) involving dropping a heavy weight from variable heights once or twice a minute, the BSP rapid impact compactor (RIC) drops a lighter weight from a relatively low height at a rate of 40 to 60 blows/minute. As its foot stays in contact with the ground during the impacting sequence, energy transfer is far more effective.

BSP also supplies a compaction monitor, which records the compactor’s performance and the rate of ground improvement.
